Books of Influence – Illusions

Wow! I did not realize how long it has been since I’ve last worked this series. Fortunately, I found all my old notes, so I can continue on.

Books of Influence – Illusions (Richard Bach)

Welcome to the version of myself as it existed in the mid 80s, to a point in time when I was redirecting where I wanted to take my life. One simple proof of that is I found myself living in a bachelor pad, which is something I said I’d never do. But, it was part of my redirection process (adding to my social contacts, as well as saving money by sharing rent costs as opposed to paying it all myself…among other things), so I made it work.

One afternoon, I had a philosophical conversation with a roommate I rarely saw or talked to. Later that afternoon, he loaned me his copy of “Illusions,” claiming I might understand and enjoy it. I can’t really say this book represents my current belief system in its entirety, but it most definitely paved the way for me to discover and receive quite a bit of what I hold sacred now.

I like creating things. I draw energy and passion from music. I enjoy solving puzzles and mysteries. I would be quite happy spending the rest of my life playing games with words for the enjoyment of others.
